Chillin @ the Bat Cave

Hello,
I hope your day is going good. Today I'm just hanging with my family at the bat cave. But just to give you a heads up of some events coming soon.... July 3rd is fireworks night!!! During the night many groups from the community will be hosting games and selling food, so you wont want to miss it. Also July 8th is my birthday!! That's going to be a blast! I have been having troubles with my website lately, so be sure to check here for updates. Also Courtney Swift guessed July 3rd as my birthday, even though that's not the date of my birthday this year. It was a few years ago. Thanks for your response Courtney!

The Food Peeps!!!

"The best item on the menu, is the Ribby Burger!" Tonight I went over to order my meal at the Snack Bar, and I ran into Ron and his buddies. My friend asked them a few questions for me! They said everything on the menu is great and

I also said hello to the gals at the Snack bar! They told me that their busiest time of the night is from about 6:00 to 7:00. Their favorite part is meeting people and getting to be around the baseball game. They said they love to watch the kids all run toward me and gather around.

First, I want to say thanks to all my mascot friends who came to the game to hangout with me last night- Cell-b, Blackbird, Wireless Lion, and KSC Owl! You guys are amazing! It was a blast to have you at the game last night. We played an on feild game that was pretty cool too. It was too bad the Swamp Bats lost, but everbody still had fun with all of us. I got to say hi to my little buddy Scott too! He comes to all the games, and he's been involved with the Reading With Ribby Program. He's awesome. He's always very excited to see me at the games!

We're Still #1

We had a close game tonight, but we're still 8-1. I got to talk to my good friend Tracy Flower (she's the lady that sells those awesome tennis balls.) The other night when I was visiting her, she estimated that they would sell 100 tennis balls. Later on, she told me "one-hundred exactly! That's how many we sold!" We rejoiced in a big high-five. Way to go Tracy. On opening night they sold out! Her favorite part of the games is talking to the dedicated fans. You rock Tracy!

Also I met a very sweet lady Belinda tonight. She has two Swamp Bats mow her lawn, and today they helped her son with his pitching techniques. Her son Ben is on an All-Star team and was so grateful to get tips from a real Swamp Bat! Way to go guys!

Reading With Ribby Night

Reading With Ribby Night was a huge success! Thanks so much to all the folks who came to the game! I got see a lot of the kids, and when they said how many books they read in the past month or so, the numbers ranged from 6 to 40. Great job guys! Among those books some favorites were, The Magic Tree House Series, The Hardy Boys, Tom And Jerry, Arthur's Camp, Junie B Jones, Heidi, the Harry Poter series, Fiddler, Grandpa Sam, A Series Of Unfortunate Events, Green Eggs And Ham, Click Clack Moo Moo, and lama lama Red Pajama.

The parade was incredible. Also Katherine singing John was wonderful. Marlborough School's Principal Karen Parcells, said she loves the program and her favorite part is when I come to visit and all the kids feel so accomplished. My true BFF (best friend forever), Judy Tobin said the best thing about the program is seeing the kids faces when I walk into the room, and all the ooo's and ahhhs. Judy says it's so good to know they're getting an educational but fun experience. Haley even dressed up as a mini version of me (Haley is on my left in the picture above)
Check out my adorable fan in the Keene Sentinel. Right Here!

Here Come The Mountaineers

During their away game on Sunday, the Swamp Bats played the Mountaineers and the Swamp Bats beat the Mountaineers 3-1. They played a good game, and we give them props' for that, but it's great to be 6-0! What a season, and this is only the beginning. We go head-to-head with the Mountaineers again tomorrow. I can't wait to see how that plays out! It's also Reading With Ribby Night, so bring a book for the book-swap. Also you can be in the parade if you have your Reading With Ribby T-Shirt. It's going to be a total blast! See you there!

5-0 Swamp Bats

Well, well, well look at us! Aren't we just sittin' pretty. Can you believe it what a great start to the season we've had, huh? I had the privilege of getting to know the GM of the Sanford Mainers (Neal Olson) tonight. He was very fun, he told me last year, they were pretty even with the Swamp Bats. This year the Sanford Mainers are 3-3. Another creature I got to meet was the Keene State's Owl. He was a cool dude.

I hope you got a chance to read the Keene Sentinel today, Donna and I were featured and John Gemmel was too. I miss him so much, the article was all about Reading With Ribby and some trivia about ME! I'll be posting a link to the article so you can read it online later! Be sure to check in!

The game it's self wasn't the only great part of the evening. Tonight we played a great on-field-game, all the girls at the birthday party stood in a line and popped their balloons as fast as they could doing it however they could. It was so much fun! Madeline was the birthday girl and she was turning 6. A group of wided-eyed smiling girls gathered around me when I brought out the cake and it was the best greeting a bat could get! All the girls said that they were so excited for the party, and they couldn't wait for the on-field games. Madeline told me her favorite thing about me was, "that he's so good at baseball." Thanks Madeline! Happy Birthday!

Featured On "No Spin"

Did you happen to see Kevin Watterson, Marty Testo, and I on "No Spin" on channel 8 the other day? According to Cheshire TV's Program Schedule you can still catch the episode tonight at 8:00 and again on Sunday, I'm not sure of the time on Sunday though. Don't worry if you wont be able to catch it, because "my peeps" are going to send me the highlights so that I can post them right here!

BTW (By The Way) I love receiving comments! Just click on the link below each blog that says comments to leave a message!

First Loss :(

I must say, even though it was disappointing to lose our game last night, I was impressed with Team USA and if there's a team to lose to, it's them. Before the game started I got to say a quick hello, to a couple of the Team USA players who said they were very excited for the game, because their game with the Swamp Bats got rained out last year.

I still had a good time with the fans though! We celebrated Tucker's 5th birthday! It was a wicked fun party...and we had a delicious cake loaded with purple frosting. Tucker and his friends were all a blast! There was one little friend of Tucker's who was afraid of me, if you or your friends are ever scared of me, you should contact Donna at the games. She's very helpful in showing people that I'm just one lovable bat. When I saw Tucker before his party he and his friends said they were very excited!
A few of my other BFFs (interns),were very busy. Katy said she's been very busy this year, but it's been very fun. She also told me "last year it was really fun too! Keene Sentinel
I got a small mention in the today too!
Also the 17th is Reading With Ribby Night, as I mentioned before, but I wanted you to remember to bring a book because we're going to do a book swap!

And on mascot night if you dress up like any kind of mascot you will be invited to my VIP party (in the Swamp Bat tent!) It's going to be really fun, so you wont want to miss it!
I can't wait until Saturday! I'll see you there!

We're 3-0...but we better be able to take the heat, because we're playing the USA team and I have a feeling they're going to bring it!
Did you read the Sentinel today? In a couple of articles about the Swamp Bats they mentioned my blog! Here's the article
Isn't it awsome?!

Be sure to come to the game on June 17th, you don't want to miss Reading With Ribby night! We're going to have a blast and do a parade! How fun is that?!

See you out at Alumi Field tomrrow night! 7:00pm!
